In Mandalay University of Foreign Languages, Oriental Studies is a subsidiary subject. Module name is Pāli Langauge, Literature and History of Buddhism.

As Language students can study the compare and contrast of Languages by learning the Pāli Langauge.

In doing so, not only the Pāli grammar and literature, but also other subjects in relation to assist Myanmar culture are taught. The entire Myanmar nations, culture and literature have arisen and flourished based upon the Pāli Langauge. Myanmar's literary tradition throughout the ages such as belief, culture, traditions and national affairs is taught through Pāli literature.

The students can offer their service to the community welfare as they can control their greed anger and delusion by wisdom. Their livelihood is noble and intelligent. Students can build a more peaceful and better world based on the knowledge.

Language Students, who are going to attend university of foreign languages become better educated young people and can distribute Myanmar culture to all over the world by learning Oriental Studies because it is a subject which is comprised with many different perspectives of Myanmar culture and traditions.
